The Coupland Root Elevator 3.5mm is used to loosen teeth, sever the periodontal ligament, and elevate fractured or deeply buried roots.

The mid-sized, gouge-like 3.5mm working end serves as an exceptionally efficient wedge, generating substantial elevating force within the socket with minimal physical effort. This medium-profile blade has sharp, tapered edges, allowing it to slip effortlessly into the narrow periodontal ligament (PDL) space of medium-sized teeth. 

Designed for atraumatic extraction by preventing unnecessary expansion or fracturing of the delicate buccal cortical bone plate.

Common Uses:
The Coupland 3.5mm elevator is primarily indicated for the intermediate luxation (loosening) and elevation of medium roots, multi-rooted premolars, and larger fractured root fragments, where a slightly broader, straight gouge design is anatomically required.
