DENTIFY® Dental Extracting Forceps No. 86A are designed for Lower Molars
ARTG (TGA) Listed | Premium Quality | 1 Year Warranty |
DENTIFY® English Extracting Forceps No. 86A are used for the extraction of mandibular (lower) molars with carious or severely broken-down crowns. Cowhorn design with long, pointed, cylindrical beaks; this pattern is built to slide beneath a compromised crown to engage the root bifurcation directly. The 86A variation features a straighter, less curved beak alignment, providing exceptional direct mechanical leverage and maximum force transfer for accessible lower molars.
Traditional English-pattern design provides excellent control, balanced handling, and a secure grip during extractions.
The knurled handle enhances grip and provides optimal control. Manufactured from high-quality stainless steel, they offer durability, corrosion resistance, and consistent clinical performance.
Cowhorn Design: Straighter, less curved pointed beaks designed to target lower molar root bifurcations beneath broken crowns.
Biomechanical Elevation: Unique wedging action elevates the roots directly from the alveolar socket upon handle engagement.
Traditional English-Pattern: Delivers balanced weight distribution and heavy-duty physical force transfer.
Premium Construction: Crafted from medical-grade stainless steel for high corrosion resistance and long-lasting durability.
Knurled Handle: High-friction textured surface ensures a confident grip and reduces hand fatigue.
Atraumatic Precision: Minimizes stress on surrounding bone structures by concentrating lifting forces within the bifurcation zone.
The first mandibular molar is the primary clinical application for the No. 86A. Lower first molars typically present with widely divergent, thick mesial and distal roots. The straighter, less curved tips of the 86A allow for direct vertical entry parallel to the tooth's long axis, providing the exact line of force needed to split or elevate these sturdy, independent roots.
Fully compatible with standard sterilization procedures.
No. 86A: Features a less curved, straighter beak alignment compared to the 86C. It provides excellent direct linear force application and is ideal for first and second lower molars where standard posterior access is available.
No. 86B: Features a moderately modified beak angle profile, offering a balanced intermediate curve that serves as a versatile option for general mandibular molar root bifurcations.
No. 86C: Features a more pronounced, deeply curved beak architecture. This sharper curvature allows the instrument to wrap around more tightly, optimizing access to difficult posterior spaces, such as crowded lower second molars or partially impacted lower third molars.
