DENTIFY® Dental Extracting Forceps No. 86C are designed for Lower Molars
ARTG (TGA) Listed | Premium Quality | 1 Year Warranty |
DENTIFY® English Extracting Forceps No. 86C are used for the extraction of mandibular (lower) molars with extensively decayed, carious, or completely missing coronal structures. Cowhorn design with pointed, cylindrical beaks wraps around the tooth to seat firmly within the root bifurcation. The 86C variation features a more pronounced, deeply curved beak architecture, maximizing access and visibility in tightly restricted posterior regions or crowded arches.
Traditional English-pattern design provides excellent control, balanced handling, and a secure grip during extractions.
The knurled handle enhances grip and provides optimal control. Manufactured from high-quality stainless steel, they offer durability, corrosion resistance, and consistent clinical performance.
Cowhorn Design: Deeply curved, pointed beaks optimized for tight posterior access and severe mandibular molar decay.
Biomechanical Elevation: Advanced right-angle wedging action elevates tooth roots directly out of the socket during handle closure.
Traditional English-Pattern: Delivers balanced weight distribution and heavy-duty physical force transfer.
Premium Construction: Crafted from medical-grade stainless steel for high corrosion resistance and long-lasting durability.
Knurled Handle: High-friction textured surface ensures a confident grip and reduces hand fatigue.
Atraumatic Efficiency: Focuses force strictly on the bifurcation zone, preserving surrounding bone plates and soft tissues.
Second and Third Mandibular Molar Extractions: The No. 86C is clinically indicated for molars positioned furthest back in the lower arch. Lower second and third molars sit deep within the retromolar triangle, where the ascending ramus of the jaw limits physical space. The deep, tight curve of the 86C allows the instrument to wrap around the corner of the dental arch without hitting the patient's anterior teeth or opposing upper arch.
Fully compatible with standard sterilization procedures.
No. 86A: Features a less curved, straighter beak alignment compared to the 86C. It provides excellent direct linear force application and is ideal for first and second lower molars where standard posterior access is available.
No. 86B: Features a moderately modified beak angle profile, offering a balanced intermediate curve that serves as a versatile option for general mandibular molar root bifurcations.
No. 86C: Features a more pronounced, deeply curved beak architecture. This sharper curvature allows the instrument to wrap around more tightly, optimizing access to difficult posterior spaces, such as crowded lower second molars or partially impacted lower third molars.
