Liver biopsy is an important diagnostic tool in veterinary medicine, particularly for ruminants like sheep, cattle, and deer. Biopsies provide valuable information about liver health and in the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases.  A stainless steel trocar and cannula technique is a common and effective method for performing liver biopsy in these animals.

Our biopsy punch is designed for percutaneous liver biopsy. The trocar is a sharp needle that penetrates the skin and liver tissue. The cannula is a tube that remains in place after the trocar is removed, allowing for the collection of liver tissue samples. Both the trocar and cannula are manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel.
