DENTIFY® American Pattern Extraction Forceps No. 69 (also known as Tomes) are designed for Upper and Lower Fragments and Roots.
ARTG (TGA) Listed | Premium Quality | 1 Year Warranty |
DENTIFY® American Pattern Extracting Forceps No. 69 are used for the extraction of deeply fractured teeth, retained root tips, and fragments from both the maxillary (upper) and mandibular (lower) arches. Symmetrical pattern features exceptionally slim, parallel-mating beaks designed to subgingivally track and firmly grasp root structures that offer little to no crown exposure.
Traditional American-pattern box-joint hinge provides a perfectly smooth, fluid movement, balanced handling, and a secure grip during extractions.
The knurled handle enhances grip and provides optimal control. Manufactured from high-quality stainless steel, they offer durability, corrosion resistance, and consistent clinical performance.
Ultra-Slim Root & Fragment Profile: Ultra-narrow, matching parallel jaws explicitly designed to slide subgingivally and securely pinch retained root tips or broken fragments.
Universal Straight Architecture: Universally adaptable design allows for multi-quadrant use across both the upper and lower arches for root tip retrieval.
Fine-Tuned Tactile Feedback: Low-profile beak construction transfers subtle micro-sensations directly to the clinician's hand, ensuring precise seating on buried root faces.
American Box-Joint Hinge: Hidden, smooth-moving horizontal joint ensures long-term alignment stability and high tactile feedback.
Premium Construction: Crafted from medical-grade stainless steel for high corrosion resistance and long-lasting durability.
American Forceps No. 69 are the clinical standard for fragment retrieval and root tip extractions across all dental quadrants. When a crown has fractured off at or below the crestal bone, standard crown-gripping forceps cannot be safely applied. The No. 69 relies on its razor-sharp, narrow profiles to wedge slightly into the periodontal ligament space, firmly grasping the remaining root structure along its long axis.
Fully compatible with standard sterilization procedures.
