DENTIFY® Dental Extraction Forceps 31 - Lower Roots and Incisors

DENTIFY® English Extracting Forceps No. 31 are used for the extraction of mandibular (lower) roots, fractured tooth fragments, and narrow lower incisors. They feature a slender, finely curved tip with serration. This pattern is designed to slide deep into the alveolar socket. The parallel-closing jaws ensure an uncompromising, non-slip grip on minimal root structures below the gumline.

Traditional English-pattern design provides excellent control, balanced handling, and a secure grip during extractions.

The knurled handle enhances grip and provides optimal control. Manufactured from high-quality stainless steel, they offer durability, corrosion resistance, and consistent clinical performance.

Key Features of Extraction Forceps No. 31

Slender Root Design: Thin, parallel-closing beaks optimized for accessing deep-seated mandibular roots and fragments.

Serrated Jaws: Grooved inner beak surfaces provide a high-friction, non-slip grip on wet or structurally compromised root surfaces.

Dual Bifurcation Grips: Pointed tips on both beaks seat securely into the buccal and lingual root bifurcations of lower molars.

Traditional English-Pattern: Delivers balanced weight distribution and heavy-duty physical force transfer.

Premium Construction: Crafted from medical-grade stainless steel for high corrosion resistance and long-lasting durability.

Knurled Handle: High-friction textured surface ensures a confident grip and reduces hand fatigue.

Atraumatic Efficiency: Designed to grip below the enamel line to reduce the risk of crown fracture.

Clinical Uses of Extracting Forceps No. 31

Extracting Forceps No. 31 are the clinical go-to for removing retained mandibular roots, sectioned molar roots, and crowded lower anterior teeth. The thin profile allows for deep apical progression along the root surface. This precise fit facilitates controlled, gentle luxation and a smooth pull trajectory, effectively preserving the surrounding bone plates and accelerating the patient's post-operative healing.
