Universal Scissors Set

Trauma shears or Universal Scissors are used to quickly and safely cut clothing. Large scissors ring for easy handling and angled serrated blade for precise cutting.

The shears are designed exclusively for external use and are not suitable for surgical or invasive procedures. Their rugged construction enables them to cut through strong materials such as car seat belts, leather, and denim, and even thin metal and other hard surfaces. They are increasingly being used by fishermen and scuba divers as safer alternatives to knives.

The wide, blunt tip of the shears is designed to slide across the skin, minimizing the risk of injuring the patient while cutting clothing. Polypropylene handle and surgical grade stainless steel blades can be autoclaved to 143° C. Scissors can fit most of Ferno belt holsters, clip on to a carabiner, an emergency pack, or a kit for readily accessible in an emergency situation.
