DENTIFY® Dental Explorer 23/6L is a double-end instrument used for tactile sensitivity, detecting caries, calculus, and marginal defects. The explorer has a combination of classic shepherd’s hook #23 and a fine tapered design of the 6L with 9mm tip.
The shepherd’s hook #23 tip features a sharp, curved design used for detecting caries in pits, fissures, and restoration margins. 6L is longer and narrower than the 6A, offering greater reach and improved access to deeper or more complex surfaces.
A 10mm anatomical hollow handle provides optimal balance and comfort. The matte finish ensures a slip-resistant grip, enhancing control and precision.
Clinical Use of the Explorer 23/6L:
Explorer 23/6L is used for caries detection, calculus identification, fissure exploration, and restoration margin evaluation. Its double-end design allows seamless switching. 23 end is ideal for examining pits, fissures, and occlusal surfaces, while the 6L end provides access to deeper or more anatomically complex areas.
Sterilization
The probe is fully compatible with standard sterilization methods.
